Course / Terrain:
This is a stout 1.75 mile course, be prepared with legs, lungs, and the desire
not to be put down... you better be
in shape to win this fast paced, win-at-all-cost kind of event. Short,
tough climbs with some technical fast paced decent. Combination ATV
trail, jeep trail, fire road, gravel drive. No true single track, but
its close. There are a couple of areas requiring dismount, giving just
a hint of CX action.
This short course is extremely spectator friendly! Multiple paths and trails considered easy to moderate make getting around on foot easy!
This is a MTB (fat tire) event only, no CX (cyclo-cross) rides please.
Strategy will come into play!
- Do you work with your fellow heat members and stay as a group and ride at a moderate pace awaiting a sprint effort towards the end of every lap? Or do you drop the hammer from the get-go and hope you last?
- What happens if you draw the unlucky last heat race and don't have much recovery time before the "Wicked Angel" main event? You do need to save your legs, right? Do you gamble with a big effort up front and then try to coast into the "Wicked Angel" so you have fresh legs for the 10 lap misery to come? But what if you can’t keep track of how many riders are ahead or behind you?
- Could you be an unsuspected rider that gets caught from behind and pulled out by the Devil himself? We’ll see!

Be Flexible:
In order to maintain flexibility for a successful race venue, the Race Director reserves the right to modify all race terms and conditions based on the number of entries per race date. This may or may not affect several things:
Number of riders per heat race
Number of laps of each heat race
Number of pulled riders per heat race
Number of riders who qualify for the
“Wicked Angel” main event
Number of laps of the “Wicked Angel”
main event
Winning rider payouts from the
“Wicked Angel” main event
