The weekend event is one of a kind! Bolt action and semi-auto rifle categories and competitions along with a great pistol event make this an action packed weekend.
What is practical shooting?
Practical shooting means dynamic movement on a dynamic firing range. Targets distances vary, use of cover and concealment is mandatory, shooter movement from one firing position to another is required to engage all targets and so on. This involves running, climbing tough terrain, using difficult firing positions at times, and quick and accurate target engagement, all while being timed for speed.
What does Smoky Mountain Endeavors, Inc. provide in the way of activities?
Friday starts the weekend off right with the bolt action competition. Varying distances, sizes of steel targets, multiple shooting positions, and more.
Saturday heats up with the semi-auto rifle competition. Different course as the bolt-action course, but similar design. Lighter, smaller weapons means more challenges are built into the course.
Sunday... this is a fun and challenging day for all! Pistol competition that involves shooting steel with running, barricades/concealment positions, obstacle course challenges and more.
